Welcome to the Nexus Surgical Digestive Disease Clinic (DDC). The Nexus Surgical DDC is comprised of surgeons who are specially trained to diagnose and treat gastro-intestinal (GI) disorders. Besides completing medical school and the specialty training programme, each staff surgeon here at the Nexus Surgical DDC has also completed additional training through a clinical fellowship in an overseas renowned centre.

Dr Jane Tan, the lead surgeon of Nexus Surgical DDC, did her clinical fellowship in colorectal surgery in Melbourne, Australia. Dr Lim Khong Hee completed his clinical fellowship in Upper GI surgery at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, Australia. Dr Ho Choon Kiat spent a year at the Universitätsklinikum Heidelberg (University Hospital Heidelberg), Germany, in a clinical fellowship program on pancreatic surgery and pancreatic cancers. Dr Liau Kui Hin’s clinical fellowship in liver surgery was at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre in New York, United States.


What is it?

The gastrointestinal tract is also known as the digestive tract. This is a complex organ system that is responsible for many vital functions in the human body. Because it is complex, and involves different systems, Nexus Surgical Associates has formed the Nexus Surgical Digestive Diseases Centre that specializes in the treatment of digestive diseases. This is a multidisciplinary team that has experts in different fields coming together to provide the best possible outcome for our patients.
